La Marzocco Celebration of Signature Beverages
Happy Halloween! Today for the October La Marzocco USA Celebration of SigBevs, I got to post one of the most creative specialty coffee renditions of the iconic #PSL that I’ve seen.

Ro Tam, owner of Either/OR Cafe in Portland, Oregon, has been a friend to me since before I even moved to PDX 6(?!) years ago. Her coffeeshop Either/OR is one of my favorites and I love that Ro and I share similar sensibilities with our Mid-Century Modern tastes and personal collections, especially vintage cocktail and barware design. I had that in mind as I illustrated this piece!

Ro has produced signature bottled chai and sigbev concentrates for her Tanglewood Bev. company since 2013. Tanglewood is best known for their Ginger Spiced Chai (the best chai I have ever had, and I’ve had quite a few as you can imagine!) — but every Fall when the season gets spooky, you can expect to see the delicious Hot Buttered Yam on the menu.

Hot Buttered Yam includes garnet yams, brown sugar, caramelized maple, black tea, lemon juice, and a splash of bourbon. Try a #HBY at Either/OR where your drink will be garnished with cinnamon chocolate salt, and “you’ll never be accused of being basic again.”
